Fondsfrauen Event at FERI: Competitors on the Field – Partners in the Cause
As part of the Bad Homburg Open draw ceremony, we once again hosted an exclusive kick-off event in collaboration with Fondsfrauen this year. Under the motto “Competitors on the court – partners in the cause,” the event focused on discussions about competition, visibility, and mutual support.

Andrea Petkovic set the tone for the discussion with personal insights from her time in professional women’s tennis. In the discussion that followed, we drew parallels to the business and financial worlds. The focus was on the role that trust, respect, and a strong network play in competitive environments, and how women can support one another in their professional careers. Afterward, we headed to the official draw ceremony for the Bad Homburg Open in our courtyard.

The Bad Homburg Open is one of the most important WTA grass-court tournaments in the world and a fixture on the international women’s tennis calendar just before Wimbledon. The draw ceremony is a special highlight, during which the first-round matchups are officially determined by a draw. The event was hosted by Matthias Stach, Andrea Petkovic, and Angelique Kerber.

The joint event with Fondsfrauen is part of our commitment to SDG 5 (Gender Equality). The goal is to create targeted platforms for exchange and networking, to highlight different perspectives, and to empower women in a sustainable way.

Special thanks go to Anne Connelly (founding member of Fondsfrauen) for moderating the event, as well as to Andrea Petkovic and our colleagues Nicole Grützmacher (Co-Head of Private Markets) and Magdalena Fest (Director, Portfolio Management Fundamental Equities) for sharing their personal insights into their careers.
