National Reading Day 2024

Under the motto FERI4Education, we at FERI are committed to high-quality education in many ways, because we believe it is the foundation for a sustainable and successful future. Education forms the basis for individual and social development by enabling people to reach their full potential, thereby promoting equal opportunities and social participation. Reading plays an important key role in this, as it promotes cognitive, linguistic, and social development. The earlier children start reading, the sooner they can develop their reading skills, which will also benefit them later in life. 

The nationwide reading day is a wonderful initiative that shows children how to access the world of books in an entertaining way. Every year on this day, over a million adults and children across Germany read together to spark an interest in reading. So it makes sense for us to get involved too. This year, we organized a joint reading event with the Hochtaunuskreis Child Protection Association for the third time.

And it was another great experience! When the children even “argue” about who gets to read aloud more, then the first step toward becoming an avid reader has already been taken.
