Leadership Transition at FERI AG: Dr. Marcel V. Laehn appointed Chief Executive Officer

Effective July 1, 2026, Dr. Marcel V. Laehn will take the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FERI AG. Marcel Laehn has been a member of the Executive Board since May 1, 2022 and currently serves as Chief Investment Officer (CIO). He follows Marcel Renné, who will continue to work for FERI AG, focusing on the advisory and relationship management of selected key clients.

“Over the past 25 years, including around eight years as CEO, Marcel Renné has played a key role in FERI’s very successful development in various management positions,” said Dr. Uwe Schroeder-Wildberg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FERI AG. “We would like to expressly thank him for his commitment and outstanding contributions. The seamless handover of the CEO position – agreed in a spirit of mutual trust and longstanding friendship – marks the beginning of the next phase in the implementation of our long-term business strategy. With his proven asset management expertise, Dr. Marcel V. Laehn will lead FERI as CEO.”

He will continue along the path we have jointly pursued on the Executive Board for more than four years, always in the best interests of our clients, and he will surely lead FERI successfully into the future.”

Prior to joining the Executive Board of FERI AG, Dr. Marcel V. Laehn worked as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at BDT & Company International LLP in Frankfurt am Main. Before that, the 54-year-old served as Chief Investment Officer at BHF-BANK AG and, as Executive Managing Director, headed the bank’s Private Banking division. Dr. Laehn holds a PhD in economics and began his career as a strategy consultant at Roland Berger.
