Girls Day 2025 @FERI

Girls Day 2025 @FERI

What exactly does a portfolio manager do all day?

And why is it so important for women in particular to learn about finance and investing at a young age?

For the second year in a row, FERI opened its doors for Girls' Day to give young girls an exclusive insight into the world of finance and answer precisely these questions.

Girls' Day offers schoolgirls the opportunity to learn about career fields that are traditionally male-dominated – and this is exactly where FERI comes in with its “Portfolio Managers in Action” program!

After the welcome, the girls delved deep into the world of capital markets together with our experts. Magdalena Fest, CFA, and Lukas Günsch guided them through the basics of the finance and fund industry and explained in practical terms how investment decisions are made.

The participants then explored the FERI Haus am Park in an exclusive tour before putting their knowledge directly into practice in an interactive workshop. Working in small teams, they put together their own portfolios – a challenging and exciting experience that tested their creativity and analytical skills. The event concluded with an insight into the wide range of career opportunities at FERI – whether as an intern, working student, or dual student. Anyone who is enthusiastic about the financial industry can gain their first experience at FERI at an early stage!

For us, it was a very successful event, and we are already looking forward to inspiring young talent again next year and getting girls in particular interested in financial topics and the financial sector.
