FERIxFutury - Responsibility Meets Innovation

Since 1987, FERI has been supporting young talent. More than 2,000 students have contributed to our company over the years, and many of them continue to shape our organisation to this day. Their ideas, drive and fresh perspectives inspire us and contribute to our ongoing development. Supporting young talent and fostering their professional development has been an integral part of our commitment for many years.

As a new partner of Futury, the startup hub of the Rhine-Main region, we are now opening another chapter of this commitment. Futury provides entrepreneurs, founders and students with a unique platform to develop ideas, test them and bring them into practice.

In July, Futury was selected as one of the winners of the nationwide EXIST initiatives for innovation and startup development and has recently also received funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). Futury convinced the jury with its unique approach to establishing an industry-driven startup ecosystem in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main metropolitan region through close collaboration between academia, industry, policymakers and investors, including partners such as FERI.

The vision of the Rhine-Main universities, namely Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Goethe University Frankfurt, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and TU Darmstadt, is to establish the region as the “Silicon Valley of Europe” in the heart of the continent. This is an ambitious goal that requires the involvement of many strong partners. For us, it has been both a motivation and an aspiration to contribute to Futury from the very beginning and to help support the achievement of these ambitious objectives.

This commitment represents another consistent step within the framework of our CSR strategy. Together with Futury, we aim to foster exchange between academia, entrepreneurship and young talent by:

• supporting students and founders in exploring future-oriented topics,
• nurturing talent and helping to develop future skills,
• promoting entrepreneurial thinking and supporting collaboration within a strong partner network, and thereby
• enabling innovation through exchange across industries and generations.

When people, ideas and experience come together, new opportunities emerge. This is where we want to make our contribution, as a partner, supporter and sparring partner.
