FERIxFutury - Responsibility meets innovation
FERI has been supporting young talents since 1987 – over 2,000 students have worked with us over the years, and many of them continue to shape our company to this day. Their ideas, their drive, and their fresh perspectives are what keep us moving forward. Taking responsibility for young people and their future is a reality we live by.
As a new partner of Futury, the new startup hub in the Rhine-Main region, we are now opening a new chapter in this responsibility. Futury offers founders and students a unique platform to develop, test, and put ideas into practice.
Futury emerged as one of the winners in July as part of the nationwide EXIST initiatives for innovation and start-up development and has recently also received funding from the federal government (BMWE). Futury impressed the jury with its unique approach to establishing an industry-driven start-up ecosystem in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main metropolitan region – with close involvement from science, industry, politics, and investors (such as FERI).
The stated vision of the Rhine-Main universities (Frankfurt School of Finance, Goethe University Frankfurt, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, and Technical University of Darmstadt) is to become the “Silicon Valley of Europe” in the heart of Europe. This is an enormously ambitious goal and requires many professional partners in the field. For us, it was both an incentive and a challenge to get involved with Futury from the start and help achieve these ambitious goals.
This commitment is a logical next step in line with our CSR strategy, as it allows us to work together to shape innovative and sustainable solutions for business and society by:
- Taking responsibility for transformation and thus for the next generation
- promoting talent and helping to develop future skills,
- strengthening entrepreneurial thinking and establishing a network of high-quality partners,
- and thus enabling innovation through exchange across industry and generational boundaries.
When people, ideas, and experiences come together, something new is created. And this is exactly where we want to make our contribution—as a partner, sponsor, and sparring partner.
