FERI’s Asset Management Expertise Reaffirmed: 7 Awards for Multi-Asset Management, Hedge Funds, and Volatility

  • Successful relaunches underscore FERI’s innovative strength in the hedge fund sector
  • Long-standing, successful hedge fund and volatility strategy wins multiple awards once again
  • Proven multi-asset asset management strategy receives further recognition

FERI AG has already received its seventh asset management award this year. The most recent honors come from The Hedge Funds Journal (THFJ) in London: At the 2026 UCITS Hedge Awards, three FERI strategies were recognized in different categories. The awards recognize both innovative fund concepts and risk-adjusted performance achieved over extended periods.

The winners were:

  • FERI Global Select Long/Short Fund (ISIN: DE000A41ACX7) – Best New Launch Global Equity Long/Short
  • FERI Systematic Market Neutral Fund (ISIN: DE000A41AD06) – Best New Launch Global Equity Market Neutral
  • OptoFlex (ISIN: LU0834815101) – Short Volatility (Quantitative) (AUM > $100m) over seven and ten years

The awards were presented in accordance with the THFJ’s established evaluation process. Only the winner of each category received an award; runners-up were not considered. The calculations of risk-adjusted returns were performed primarily by LuxHedge and the THFJ.

In addition to the three THFJ awards, FERI 2026 has already received multiple accolades from other institutions. In the area of volatility strategies, where FERI manages more than three billion euros in client assets, this marks the third award for OptoFlex so far this year: The fund received the Alternative Investments Award 2026 (Silver) from the Austrian magazine Geld. In addition, the strategy took third place in the Absolute Return/Other Strategies category over ten years at the BörseOnline Fund Awards.

In addition, the Ferrum Fund Equity Hedge (ISIN: LU0249282178), launched in 2002, was named Best Fund of Hedge Funds (up to $1 billion) by the alternative investment data platform With Intelligence at the EuroHedge Awards 2025, held in London in March 2026. The award specifically recognized the fund’s strong long-term risk-adjusted performance.

FERI also received another award in the multi-asset strategies category. The multi-asset fund FERI Core Strategy Dynamic (ISIN: LU1155658930), which replicates the established FERI multi-asset investment strategy within a fund structure, was named “Top Global Mixed Fund (Flexible)” for 2026 by the SZ Institute.

Dr. Marcel V. Lähn, Member of the Executive Board & CIO of FERI AG: “These awards confirm the quality and innovative strength of our asset management and the effectiveness of our investment process. The continuous refinement of our strategies is a central component of our commitment and our responsibility to our clients. We would also like to thank our partners Universal Investment and Goldman Sachs, whose support made the successful launch of our latest long/short hedge funds possible. We look forward to continuing to work closely with our investors and partners in the best interests of our clients and building on these successes in the future.”

Carsten Hermann, Executive Managing Director of Investment Management at FERI AG: “Such results are based

primarily on the excellent execution capabilities of our teams. They demonstrate that we combine product innovation with disciplined, risk-oriented execution in our investment strategies, thereby laying the foundation for sustainable quality in asset management.”
