FERI promotes educational opportunities related to sustainability
This week, as part of our FERI4Education initiative, we participated in the Career Information Week at Kaiserin Friedrich Gymnasium (KFG) in Bad Homburg.
During an interactive workshop, together with 11th-grade students, we discussed
- what the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are,
- why sustainability matters to all of us,
- which career, vocational training and study opportunities exist in this field,
- how our own work at FERI is related to sustainability,
- how sustainability aspects are considered at FERI in relevant business and investment processes, and
- which job and internship opportunities FERI offers.
Time flew by as the students engaged actively, asking questions and contributing to lively discussions. What particularly impressed us were the many positive thoughts the young people had already developed on the topic and the positive contribution they would like to make through their future professional careers.
We are pleased that we were able to help bring the topic of sustainability a little closer to them as a future opportunity, including from a professional perspective.
