FERI AG Appoints Dr. Alexander Kotb as Co-Head of the Family Office
- Establishment of a dual leadership structure to further strengthen advisory services for family wealth and entrepreneurs
- An institutionally-oriented family office approach combines personalized advisory services with access to hedge funds and private market investments
FERI AG is continuing the strategic expansion of its Family Office and is systematically refining its management structure. Effective September 1, 2026, Dr. Alexander Kotb will assume responsibility as the first Co-Head of the FERI Family Office. The second Co-Head position will be filled as the organization continues to evolve.
A doctor of law, Kotb has more than two decades of experience advising international entrepreneurial families, managing complex family office structures, and developing cross-border wealth management strategies. His expertise includes, among other things, special-purpose funds, estate planning, credit solutions, and comprehensive support for sophisticated family wealth. Kotb reports to Michael Jänsch, Executive Board Member for Wealth Management & Family Office.
Dr. Marcel V. Lähn, Chairman of the Executive Board, CEO & CIO of FERI, emphasizes: “By establishing a co-head structure, we are specifically strengthening our Family Office while also laying the foundation for its further development. The needs of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial families are becoming increasingly complex: diverse asset classes, cross-generational interests, and international structures must be integrated and coordinated within our advisory services. I am very pleased that we have been able to fill the first of these key positions with Dr. Kotb, a proven specialist with extensive expertise.”
FERI’s family office approach combines personalized advice on family wealth and for entrepreneurs with institutionally-oriented wealth management methods. In addition to traditional liquid asset classes, private market investments, volatility strategies, and global hedge fund strategies can also be incorporated into the asset structure. This provides private clients with an investment universe that, in this breadth, is traditionally accessible primarily to institutional investors.
Strategic Development of the Family Office
Michael Jänsch, Executive Board Member for Wealth Management & Family Office, says: “Entrepreneurial families expect us, as their partner, to take a holistic approach to and structure their investments, family office services, and cross-generational wealth planning. With Dr. Alexander Kotb, we are gaining a proven expert with exceptional experience in managing complex wealth structures.”
Dr. Alexander Kotb adds: “FERI combines excellent investment expertise with a holistic family office approach. This combination offers significant added value, especially for entrepreneurial families. I look forward to working alongside our team as co-head to support our clients over the long term and to actively help shape the further expansion of our wealth management business.”
Dr. Kotb most recently served as Managing Director and Senior Advisor at Julius Bär Germany. Prior to that, he played a key role in building Pictet & Cie.’s wealth management business in Germany over many years. With his appointment, FERI underscores its strategic focus on further expanding its wealth management and family office services and supporting entrepreneurial families with an interdisciplinary advisory approach of the highest caliber.
