Digital Assets

Characteristics

Leveraging Access to Innovative Technologies

Created in 2009, Bitcoin was the first decentralized blockchain and digital currency – the best-known milestone in the development of digital assets to date.

It was followed by the development of smart contract platforms. These enable programmable applications such as or decentralized finance or “DeFi” for short (where traditional financial services such as lending or trading operate without intermediaries) and tokenization (where physical and digital assets are converted into tradable tokens).

Digital assets are therefore diverse and versatile. They provide investors access to a growing ecosystem that is boosting efficiency, transparency and inclusion.

All these developments are based on blockchain technology – a digital infrastructure which is enabling transformative applications far beyond the financial sector.

Our Approach

Leveraging the Full Spectrum of Digital Assets

Broadly diversified investment all along the blockchain technology value chain is our objective.

We invest in listed blockchain companies that offer access to innovative business models via traditional stock markets, as well as in native blockchain assets that enable broad diversification across Bitcoin and selected altcoins.

Sectoral diversification in areas such as mining, infrastructure, DeFi and smart contracts avoids concentration risks and bolsters the risk-return profile of this asset class.
